Waves of Health Brings Vital Care to 1,182 Patients During Dajabon Medical Mission
On Sunday, Our Waves of Health team of volunteers returned from another successful Medical Mission to Dajabon, Dominican Republic! With over 40 volunteers from the United States and the Dominican Republic, we were able to evaluate and treat 1,182 patients. Patients with chronic diseases such as hypertension and diabetes were given a six month supply of medications.
Our team made a huge impact by dispensing more than 580 sunglasses, 250 reading glasses, and providing 100 patients with custom distance glasses through the US system. School supplies, generously donated by American middle schoolers, were distributed to local students. Lentil packages from USAID were distributed.
This mission’s success was possible due to the dedication of our volunteers and the generosity of our donors. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to making this mission possible in our eighteenth year.
Upcoming missions:
🗓️ January 2025 - Uganda
🗓️ April 2025 — Dominican Republic
